It is true that there are some things that money cannot buy. However, can one survive without money?
Money is indeed influential. Basic amenities such as electricity, food, petrol and a whole truckload of stuffs cost money. So, without money, can we survive in this world? People often complain of rising costs and the lack of income, those who are desperate eventually turn to loan sharks and petty crimes such as robbery and theft to solve their financial problems. Thus, this shows the power of money in influencing people.
However, having mammoth amounts of money does not guarantee that everything is in the person's grasp. It does not mean that the person can buy out the entire world. Take for example, happiness in life cannot be brought by money, neither can it buy good character. What is given by nature also cannot be brought with money. It is a better choice for people to seek fulfilment in life rather than seek huge sums of money.
Thus, I believe that however much money is important item in our lives, we should not restrict ourselves with just earning money to have a good life. Thus, life should never be influenced by money for glamour.

Holiday Journal 4

Went for CO committee camp, had fun there. He masterfully produces fiction stories from real-life history and most of his stories are concentrated on oceanology which is pretty exciting.

Five Facts about Clive Cussler:

-He was born in Aurora, Illinois and grew up in Alhambra, California.
- He attended Pasadena City College for two years and then enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

-Married Barbara Knight in 1955 and they remained married for nearly 50 years until her death in 2003.

-After his discharge from the military Cussler went to work in the advertising industry, first as a copywriter and later as a creative director for two of the nation's most successful advertising agencies.

-As part of his duties Cussler produced radio and television commercials, many of which won international awards including an award at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.

Journal Entry 19

Indolent and displaying apathy, James was in the arms of Morpheus as the history lesson droned on. This is perhaps due to the incompatibility and indifference of our society. Is it a friend or foe? Why is it that parents and schools are strongly against their young ones playing the computer? I believe that computer gaming will cause harm and that is not a joke.

Computer gaming is becoming increasingly popular among children and adults nowadays as it is a form of relaxation and entertainment. For most people, computer use and video game play is integrated into their lives in a balanced healthy manner. For others, time spent on the computer or video game is out of balance, and has displaced work, school, friends, and even family, thus causing computer game addiction.

Some games are violent because that is what the the society prefer. Research & surveys indicated that children prefer violent video games involving human or fantasy violence. Very few kids prefer educational games. So it stands to reason that the more violent the game is, the better it will sell. People are no longer interested in simple animation, and educational games.

Some experts believe that violent games are means of interaction between children. It can be a release of violence and aggression which they may have within them. While many believe these games make children oriented towards violence. Some also believe these games make kids not compassionate and insensitive towards death. Violent games are generally action packed and manufacturers of such games insist that their games Improve coordination, reflexes, and skills ! A point which educational games manufacturers disagree with. Violent games can hold children and even adults spellbound in amazement. This can lead to them sitting on the computer for hours and hours sometimes leading to neck problems and eye damage. Moreover, violent games may lead to a more violent society as people are more used to gory scenes with the high-definition monitors now available.

In conclusion, i think that computer gaming should be stopped before it can do society more harm!

Journal Entry 9

The megalomaniac dictator kept a restrictive fiat upon his people that prohibited them from speaking their views of his laws and orders. Even a prison's den seemed a haven to the place they were in now. With enemies lurking around them unseen and deadly, it was hard to tell who was the enemy as everywhere was in pitch blackness save for the officers torchlights. The Sergeant surmised that the whole group would either be shot to death by their enemies or get lost in the tunnel. Was it viable then to get the unusual species of bats sacrificing their lives?

Journal Entry 2

Fernandez Mista took one last look at the Arsenal football club training grounds. With a huge sigh he took the last of his belongings and exited the stadium. He had been at the prestigious football club for 10 years only to have a fall out with the new manager of the club and thus had his contract truncated. He glanced back at the flamboyantly decorated placards and heaved his bags filled with memorable jerseys and boots into his car. The momentarily lax security at the supposedly meticulously guarded government house seemed a never-to-be-missed opportunity for Hassan Miltocos, a hardcore terrorist targeting to cause mayhem in the country. The guards had changed shifts and had left only a guard on duty. Hassan darted forward, raising a lethal looking gun out of his pocket ,coerced the hapless guard to a corner and activated and dropped the time bomb. Being too eager to get away, he forgotten all about incapacitating the guard and ran off rashly. A sanguine Hassan hid in a bushes a distance away from the site despite realizing his mistake as he knew that he would die any moment. The bomb on his belt went off......

Feature Article

                                                  On Finding Yourself

Find yourself. Somehow this two word keep flashes through my mind. You probably have seen or heard this phrase helluva times. But have you ever seriously thought about what it means?

What is it that will make you happy for life? What will cause you to wake up each morning and looking forward to that day? What will allow you to enjoy being with "yourself"? Most importantly, what will make you feel confident? This sort of stuff involves "finding yourself".

Do you really know a lot about yourself? What does finding yourself actually mean? It means learning, through trial and error or accidental discovery, what it is that really makes you happy; what is it that you truly excel at; finding where you love yourself most.? All of us have something that we are best at and something that leads us to true contentment.

One important part of finding yourself, really, is accepting yourself. This part involves accepting that you are a good and valuable person and that you are just as good and valuable as everyone else. You do not "find yourself" one afternoon or one evening. It is a process in which you fall and you get up knowing more about yourself. You can learn something new and interesting about yourself each day..if you care enough.

Have you found yourself yet? Why not start today?
